Wow, what a voice! Really just pure gold from the first second onwards, this verse is incredible. The song stops a for a little breather when the bridge drops down for a break, but then the chorus kicks in and it is AMAZING. This is a very minimal song in the end, but it does not matter. All you need is great songwriting, thats what is proven here. The production is perfectly made for this song. You dont even realise how good production is un till halfway thru the song. This is pure gold, i fell in love.
They say: “Unspoken is about sexual abuse. People who have been through a traumatic experience like that find it hard to talk about it but also to be understood. I want to comfort them with this song and hope that it can be a part of their healing process. It’s ok to cry, it’s ok to talk about it when you’re ready.” – Romy Dya Following on from the release of first album single, ‘Thank You’, Dutch songstress, Romy Dya, can now reveal ‘Unspoken’ – a song that addresses sexual abuse – on self-owned imprint Uncommon Diamond via The Orchard. This is the second single from her forthcoming, self-produced album ‘I Fucking Love Myself’ [release date TBC]. Combining R&B, Soul, Jazz and Pop, Romy has already been working hard behind the scenes, with cuts on records from Ghostface Killah to Martin Garrix. ‘Unspoken’ sees Romy continue her path as a full-fledged artist whilst also taking a cathartic look at her past.
