I heard this song and fell in love. The song just takes you with on a journey right from the first note onwards. The beautiful sonics that are so wonderfully pleasing to the ear, mind and heal your soul. This takes me on a mind trip in to a empty room, where the only light is a candle, which im looking at, and it feels like the right place to be.
They say: Brian shares his thoughts on the first track, “I Wanted You To Leave”: “I have a history of being in beautiful places and having a nagging feeling to leave. Even when I’m with people I love, these places start to feel cold and less like home the more I’m there. I think life is full of these juxtaposed environments where we pressure ourselves to stay or go.I wrote this song in Paris, such a beautiful city rich in culture and history. And when I started feeling the urge to leave, this melody emerged. Obviously, traveling in a beautiful part of the world is different than being in a relationship, but I think it’s the same part of brains that draws us back or propels us forward. Rather than using lyrics to describe this feeling, I chose to try and paint it using piano only. Words can be limiting, especially when the writer isn’t speaking a language you understand. I wanted to make a piece of wordless music that still tells a story.”
