“Wild Heart” is the last of the Dark Windows single Trilogy and will be followed by Zappa’s debut album soon. From the first delicate swell of the synths, you are reminded of the New Wave past when anything seemed possible. This is attentively mirrored in the guitar line and Zappa’s demure vocal delivery.
“Life is motion, a never-ending flow” we are reassured, setting the scene for a song that moves almost in slow motion.
“If hands could free you, where would you go wild heart” she purrs at a glacial pace, blissfully serene in her own sense of reverie.
